The Room Your Central Air Skips

San Antonio's cooling season runs eight months, and one central system rarely carries that load evenly. In older Alamo Heights and Olmos Park homes, there's often no duct reaching a converted garage, a sunroom, or a walled-off addition, and in two-story Stone Oak houses the upstairs bakes while the downstairs stays cool. We're Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning, a family-owned, owner-run San Antonio HVAC contractor that has served the area since 2014, and we size, install, and replace ductless mini-splits that reach the room your ductwork never could. You get one outdoor unit, a slim indoor head on its own thermostat, and a labor warranty of up to 10 years behind it, sized by a team that works for a paycheck, not a sales commission.

Up to a 10-year labor warrantyEvery mini-split we install is covered well past the 1 to 2 years most contractors give.

01 / Is ductless the fix?

Signs a Ductless Mini-Split Is the Fix

Not every comfort problem needs ductless, but a few situations point straight to it. In our long cooling season, the sooner you solve a room that won't keep up, the fewer summers you lose to it. If any of these match your San Antonio home, it is worth pricing one.

A bonus room, converted garage, or sunroom stays hot no matter where the thermostat sits.

A new addition or backyard casita your central system was never sized to heat or cool.

An older home, or a room where running new ducts costs more than it is worth.

A two-story home where the second floor bakes while the first stays cool.

You're tired of overcooling empty bedrooms just to keep the one room you actually use comfortable.

It is loud, it spikes the power bill, and it cools only the air right in front of it.

Not sure whether you need one zone or a whole-home system? Let us look at the space with you. We'll size a single-zone setup for one problem room or a multi-zone system for several, put a written price on each, and never push more zones than the home needs. Ask about Financing to spread the cost, and if you're already holding a "replace it all" quote, bring it by for an honest second opinion on whether ductless is the smarter fix.

How Much Does Ductless Installation Cost in San Antonio?

A ductless installation starts with a free, written in-home estimate, so getting a number costs you nothing. There is no flat price to post, because the total depends on how many zones you need, the capacity of each head, your home's layout, and whether it is a single-room setup or a multi-zone system. Every figure is in writing before anything is ordered, and Synchrony financing is available for qualified buyers, subject to approval. If a single zone solves the problem for less than a whole system, we'll price that option too.

One Room or the Whole Home?

Match the System to the Rooms You Actually Use

We won't push more system than your home needs. If one room is the problem, a single-zone setup solves it for less; if several rooms run uneven, a multi-zone system covers them from one outdoor unit. Here is how the two compare, so you can weigh them before we quote, not after.

Four steps

From Free Quote to a Cool Room

Four steps from your first call to a mini-split running quietly, with no surprises in between.

Step 01

Call and Book Your Estimate

Tell us which room runs hot or where you're adding on, and we'll set a free in-home estimate at a time that works for you, evenings and weekends included.

Step 02

We Size It On-Site

Our team measures the space and sizes the head to that room's cooling load, then shows you where each head and the outdoor unit would sit before you decide anything.

Step 03

Options and a Written Price

You see single-zone and multi-zone choices at clear price points, with financing if you want it, and you approve the number in writing before we order a thing.

Step 04

Installation Day and Warranty

We mount the head, set the outdoor unit, run the line set through a small wall hole, and commission each zone. We register your labor warranty of up to 10 years, and most single-zone jobs finish in a day.

Why San Antonio Calls Us for Ductless

It Comes Down to Who Installs It

Owner-operated

Owner-operated, so someone answers for the work.

Rusty Hoermann owns Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning and runs it himself, not a call center and not an out-of-state chain. You're hiring a local owner who stands behind every install and picks up the phone if anything is ever off.

A licensed team that installs it right.

We're a licensed Texas HVAC contractor, TACLB 110532E, and EPA-608 certified. The technicians who show up size the head to your room, place it for airflow and clean looks, and pressure-test the line set so the system runs quiet for years.

No commission, and every brand on the table.

Nobody here earns more for selling you extra zones, and we install every major make and model. We're a family-owned, women-owned San Antonio company, so the setup you get fits your home and budget, not a sales target.

Ductless Mini-Split Installation FAQs

Got one we didn't cover?

Call and ask
Do you charge for a ductless installation estimate?
No. In-home estimates for a new mini-split are free and come in writing, with single-zone and multi-zone options to compare and no obligation once you have seen the price.
Can a ductless mini-split cool my whole house?
Yes. A multi-zone system runs several indoor heads off one outdoor unit, each with its own thermostat, so you condition the whole home room by room instead of cooling empty space.
Does a mini-split heat as well as cool?
Yes. A ductless mini-split is a heat pump without the ductwork, so each zone cools in summer and heats on our mild winter nights, all from one system.
Will the indoor head stand out on my wall?
Wall-mounted heads are slim and quiet but visible; ceiling cassettes tuck into a drop ceiling. We show you exactly where a head lands before we install it, so the finished look is never a surprise.
How long does a mini-split installation take?
Most single-zone installs finish in a day. Multi-zone systems with several heads can run longer, and we give you the timeline in writing when we quote the job.
What does your labor warranty of up to 10 years cover?
It covers repair labor for up to ten years on any mini-split we install. It does not include routine maintenance, and it can lapse if the system goes unmaintained or another company services it.
