Stop Hiring a Different HVAC Company Every Time Something Goes Wrong

Most San Antonio homeowners end up with a different company for every problem, one for the repair, another for the replacement, a third for the tune-up. Then summer hits, the AC quits, and you're calling someone who's never seen your system before. Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning ends that cycle. We handle everything, the emergency repair on a Sunday, the replacement when the system's finally done, the maintenance that keeps it running in between. One team, 40+ years of combined experience, and technicians who don't earn a cent on commission. One number. One company. No starting over every time your comfort's on the line.

The Difference Between Advice and a Sales Pitch

Most of the big HVAC shops in San Antonio run on commission. The tech who convinces you to replace a system that could've been repaired walks out with a bigger check. Nobody at Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning works that way, not one person earns a dime more for selling you equipment you don't need. The call you get from us is the honest one.

Most HVAC companies in San Antonio

  • Technicians paid on commission
  • "Replace it" as the default answer
  • Price handed over after the work
  • A different company for every job
  • Out-of-state, private-equity owners

Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning

  • No commission, ever, on any job
  • Repair-first; replace only when it's truly done
  • Written price before anything starts
  • One team for repair, install, and maintenance
  • Family-owned, women-owned, San Antonio-based
Why they keep calling

Three Reasons San Antonio Homeowners Keep Calling Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning Back

We Actually Try to Fix It Before We Talk About Replacing It

Once or twice a week, more during summer, someone calls after another company told them their system was done. We diagnose it correctly, find the actual cause, and when it can be fixed, we fix it for a fraction of what a replacement would run. That's not a positioning statement. That's just how we work every single day.

Nobody on This Team Gets Paid More for Selling You Something Bigger

Our technicians don't earn commission on equipment, repairs, or replacements, which means the advice you get is the advice we'd give our own family. It's also why the same three words keep showing up in our reviews without us ever asking for them: knowledgeable, fair pricing, no upcharging.

You're Calling a San Antonio Family, Not a Corporate Call Center

Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning is family-owned, women-owned, and run by an owner who still shows up to the work personally. No private equity pulling strings from another state. No monthly sales targets shape the recommendations your technician makes. The family whose name is on this company is accountable to every single job they send a truck out on.

02 / How pricing works

How Does Your Pricing Work?

A service call starts with a flat $119 diagnostic for residential systems ($140 commercial), and that fee goes toward the repair once you move forward. New-system estimates are free and written, sized in your home by the owner himself. Either way, you approve a written price before any work begins, nothing open-ended, nothing added at the end. For larger jobs, Synchrony financing is available for qualified customers, subject to approval.

San Antonio's AC Isn't Waiting, Neither Are We

When It Breaks in July, You Need Someone Who Picks Up

San Antonio summers don't give you a grace period. When your system goes down on a 103° afternoon, you need a crew that answers fast, gets there fast, and fixes it right the first time, not a callback form and a three-day wait.

What "Same-Day" Actually Means

We schedule urgent breakdowns the same day whenever the calendar allows. You call, someone answers, we assess the situation and lock in your visit, no voicemail, no "we'll get back to you."

What "24/7" Actually Means

Phones are answered nights, weekends, and holidays, so you're never sitting with a dead system until Monday morning. We'll get you scheduled and tell you exactly when we're coming.

03 / Air conditioning questions

AC Questions, Answered

Got one we didn't cover?

Call and ask
What air conditioning services do you offer?
Repair, installation and replacement, maintenance and tune-ups, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and smart thermostats, for homes and small businesses across San Antonio.
Do you charge for a diagnostic?
Yes, a flat $119 for residential systems ($140 commercial). We charge for the diagnostic because finding the real cause is the work, and once you approve the repair, that $119 comes straight off the total.
Do you work on every air conditioner brand?
Yes, we service and install all makes and models. We stay brand-agnostic, so the recommendation fits your home, not a shelf.
Are you available after hours?
Someone answers day, night, and weekends, and we move fast on urgent breakdowns. We just won't promise an exact arrival time we can't guarantee.
Is Alamo Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning a licensed HVAC contractor?
Yes, a licensed Texas HVAC contractor (TACLB 110532E) and EPA-608 certified, so every job meets state code and is handled by qualified technicians.
Do you serve small businesses too?
Yes. We handle light commercial repair and maintenance for offices and storefronts, with the same honest pricing and written quotes we give homeowners.
