What Our Technicians Do on Each of the Two Visits
Spring
Spring, the cooling side
- We work the cooling system before the heat arrives. San Antonio asks for air conditioning from March to November, so this visit lands ahead of the load.
- We refill the Drain IV solution. If your condensate line has a Drain IV system, the six-month refill keeps the treatment working through the wettest months.
- We swap the 1-inch filter. On the William B. Travis Plan a fresh standard filter goes in at the visit, the cheapest thing standing between you and a choked system.
Fall
Fall, the heating side
- We work the heating side before the first cold front. San Antonio winters are short, which is exactly why a heater idle for eight months quits on the night you need it.
- We check what the summer cost you. Eight months of runtime leaves wear behind, and finding it in October is cheaper than finding it in July.
- We put the second Drain IV refill in. The other half of the twice-yearly schedule, so the drain treatment never runs dry between visits.

The things that strand a family in a heat wave are mostly the things a scheduled visit catches early. A weak part found on a mild March morning is a small repair. In August it is a bad afternoon.
A choked filter, a dirty coil, or a charge that has drifted all make the system run longer for the same temperature. Getting those back to spec cuts the runtime, and runtime is what you pay for.
Equipment serviced twice a year tends to reach the far end of its 12 to 15 year life instead of dying early. You paid for the whole system. This is how you get all of it.
Our humidity plugs condensate lines, the safety switch does its job, and the system shuts itself off on the hottest day of the year. Keeping that drain clear and treated is the single most valuable thing we do here.

The Davy Crockett Plan runs $18.99 monthly or $215.88 yearly for one system. The William B. Travis Plan runs $27.99 monthly or $323.88 yearly.
How many visits does a plan include?
Two a year. One in spring for your cooling system and one in fall for your heating, each timed before that season works the equipment.
Is this just a quick inspection?
No. It is hands-on service on both sides of your system, twice a year, plus the Drain IV refill and, on the William B. Travis Plan, a filter.
Does a plan lower my energy bills?
It helps. Clear airflow and a correct charge let the system hit your setpoint sooner, so it runs fewer hours for the same comfort.
Does maintenance keep my warranty valid?
